The Just in Time Mental Health and Crisis Intervention Program at the Martha Eliot Health Center helps adolescents with the daily struggles and crises of growing up in today's society.
A social worker will be available during designated clinic hours to work with walk-in adolescents experiencing crises.
Examples of crises include:
- wanting to engage in violence
- recent unprotected sexual activity
- an argument with a parent/guardian
Depending upon the particular crisis, the social worker will meet individually with the adolescent to discuss issues and possible alternatives and solutions, as well as make any necessary referrals.
