"Educating the next generation of child and adolescent psychiatrists to provide excellence and leadership in child mental health."
In the academic training cycle 2006-2008, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Residency Training Program at Children's Hospital Boston celebrates its 53rd anniversary; having offered accredited training in child and adolescent psychiatry since 1953.
Our program has graduated over 300 distinguished child and adolescent psychiatrists who have gone on to successful careers in the administrative, clinical, teaching and research realms - making contributions to over 2,000 scholarly publications.
Cutting-edge services are now efficacy-based and multi-modal. Preventive interventions are a part of all good care. Our faculty has spearheaded some of these efforts and is actively working to integrate them into the training program as we continually evolve to meet the critical training needs of developing child and adolescent psychiatrists.
