Diagnostic Audiology Program

AuD externship

The Audiology program has a 12-month rotating Au.D./Doctoral externship beginning in May at the completion of the doctoral student's 3rd year of training until graduation date the next spring. It is expected the extern will receive 11 to 11 1/2 months of patient care experience under the supervision of licensed audiologist preceptors.

Extern positions are competitively interviewed and we draw applicants from all over the country. Externs coming from academic programs that are ACAE accredited are given priority (http://www.acaeaccred.org).

Applicants should be driven to purse a career in pediatric audiology following completion of their tenure with Boston Children's Hospital.
