Clinical Services (Speech-Language Pathology Program):
Preschool Language Program
Established in 1975, the Preschool Language Program offers language therapy classes for children two to five years of age with speech and language deficits.

Meeting twice a week in small class sizes, the program provides children with a stimulating and emotionally supportive language-learning experience. Traditional early-childhood activities (e.g. pretend play, snacks, music, story time) are used extensively as a natural context in which to learn language, social and problem-solving skills.

Parent Participation
Parents are allowed to observe classes and are encouraged to participate, at times, in the classroom activities. Parents assist clinicians by sharing information about their child's interest and abilities at home and by helping to formulate appropriate objectives and intervention strategies.

Clinicians provide models for parents and assist families in creating optimal language-learning environments at home.
