Clinical Services:
Speech-Language Pathology Program
The Speech-Language Pathology Program at Children's Hospital Boston treat children and adolescents with a variety of communicative disorders, including children who have difficulties with language, articulation, voice, resonance and swallowing.
Our Services
Speech-language pathology services are provided on both an outpatient and inpatient basis.

Outpatient speech-language evaluations and therapy are available at three outpatient facilities, in Lexington, Peabody and Waltham, with more limited outpatient services on the Boston Longwood campus.

In addition, four highly specialized programs are offered through the Speech-Language Pathology Program. These are:

  • Swallowing Disorders Program
  • Preschool Language Program
  • Language and Auditory Processing Program (LAPP)
  • Pediatric Voice and Resonance Program
Program staff also serve as an integral component to many of the hospital's interdisciplinary evaluation teams.

Inpatient services for children with feeding and/or swallowing difficulties are provided in the hospital setting on the Longwood Avenue campus in Boston.
