Adaptive equipment clinic
The Adaptive Equipment Clinic specializes in solutions for children who have problems with the design, fit, fabrication, and/or function of their adaptive equipment.
We also work closely with members of each patient's healthcare team to ensure that their positioning and function are optimized.
Who participates in the clinic?
Our clinic offers patients and families an opportunity to meet with multiple specialists at the same time so our healthcare team can work together to share its assessments and concerns with one another as well as with the patient and family.
Clinic participants may include:
- Physical therapists
- Occupational therapists
- Orthopedic surgeons
- Representative from the equipment vendor
How can I make an appointment to visit the clinic?
Patients must be referred to the clinic by their physical therapist or referring physician. Before a clinic visit may be scheduled, the patient and his/her physical therapist must meet with us to determine if a referral to the clinic is appropriate.
