The surgical residency program at Children's Hospital provides training for residents with various levels of experience. We have an approved program in pediatric surgery and have a first and second year pediatric surgical resident. We also have general surgical residents rotating at various PGY levels from general surgery programs at Harvard teaching hospitals. In addition, we have 2 residents at the junior level who are here for a year from programs outside the Boston area. These are generally individuals considering pediatric surgery as a career.
