Flower Weekly Schedule of Neurology Seminars and Conferences
Neurology Inpatient Rounds: (Twice Daily)
The General Neurology Inpatient Attending makes teaching rounds on the Neurology inpatient floor with the chief resident, ward resident, pediatric rotator(s) and medical student(s).

Epilepsy Inpatient Rounds: (Twice Daily)
The Epilepsy Attending makes teaching rounds on the Epilepsy inpatient service with the Epilepsy fellow, Epilepsy resident, pediatric rotator(s) and medical student(s).

Critical Care Neurology Rounds: (Twice Daily)
The Critical Care Attending makes teaching rounds on the CHB Medical, Surgical and Cardiac ICUs and the NICUs of CHB, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with the Critical Care Neurology Resident.

Neurology Consult Rounds: (Daily)
The General Neurology Attending conducts and/or reviews all neurology consults requested during the past 24 hours with the consult resident, pediatric rotator(s), and medical student(s). Follow-up of earlier consults is also performed on an as-needed basis.

Attending Rounds: (Three times per Week)
A topic relevant to active case on the ward or Epilepsy service is presented and discussed in detail after morning rounds.

Neuropathology Conference: (Weekly)
The Neuropathology division presents didactic lectures on clinical neuropathology. Cases are presented and discussed, and specimens are examined. A brain cutting is scheduled approximately once a month. This conference is attended by the Neurologist-in-Chief, the Training Program Director, residents on CH rotations, the ward Attending Physician, and interested Neurology faculty.

Neuroradiology Conference: (Weekly)
All Neurology inpatients and consults seen during the week on the Neurology Inpatient and Consult Services are reviewed with the residents by members of the Division of Neuroradiology. Interesting cases are often brought by members of the Department and discussed. This conference is an opportunity to review complex cases in a teaching format, and is attended by the Chief of Service, residents on CH rotations, the ward Attending Physician, and interested Neurology faculty. Recently, Neurosurgical and Neurogenetics session were added to this conference.

Neuro-oncology Radiology Conference: (Weekly)
All Oncology inpatients are reviewed with the residents by members of Neuroradiology, Oncology and Neurology. Interesting cases are often brought by members of the Department and discussed. This conference is an opportunity to review complex cases in a teaching format, and is attended by oncology and neurology residents, Neurology and Oncology faculty.

Epilepsy Surgery Conference: (Weekly)
Neurophysiology fellows present all patients being considered for epilepsy surgery to epilepsy attendings, neurosurgeons and residents. Longwood residents are welcome to attend this conference.

Grand Rounds: (Weekly)
Held at Harvard Institutes of Medicine, organized by Partners/BI and Children's chief residents.

Didactic Core Course: (Weekly)
Neurologists from all Longwood Neurology Training Program facilities contribute to this weekly course. Each week, a neurologist selects a topic in his/her subspecialty and provides a didactic session directed toward adult and first year pediatric neurology residents. A separate pediatric neurology curriculum has been developed for second and third year pediatric neurology residents.

Journal Club: (Monthly)
This journal club is held every month and is open to staff, residents, fellows and invited guests. One recently published paper relevant to the field of child neurology is reviewed in depth each month.

Neuro-oncology Protocol Conference: (Monthly)
Representatives from Oncology, Radiation Medicine, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neuropsychology and Pathology meet to discuss protocols for brain tumor management. Interested residents and fellows attend.

Neurophysiology Conference: (Weekly)
Epilepsy attendings give presentations on various aspects of neurophysiology and epilepsy, and discuss techniques of EEG reading. Residents and members of the Epilepsy service attend.
