Intestine and Multivisceral Transplant Program
The Intestine and Multivisceral Transplant Program at Children's Hospital Boston evaluates children who are potential candidates for small intestine transplantation, small intestine/liver transplantation, and multivisceral transplanation and manages the care of children who have received these transplants.

A multivisceral transplant is an operation in which multiple organs are transplanted, such as the stomach, pancreas, liver and small intestine.

The Intestine and Multivisceral Transplant Program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including:
  • Transplant surgeons
  • Transplant physicians
  • Transplant nurse coordinator
  • Social worker
  • Dietician
  • Nursing staff with expertise in day-to-day transplant patient care
