Center for Aero-Digestive Disorders (CADD)
Who we are
The Center for Aero-Digestive Disorders (CADD) provides long-term care and comprehensive treatment to children with complex problems involving the airway and pulmonary and upper digestive tracts. The center is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of specialists from various fields who provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and follow-up.
Multidisciplinary Approach:
Every week, our experts from programs in Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Gastroenterology meet to discuss each individual patient, sharing expertise across the different disciplines to get a full picture about the aero-digestive disorder a patient may have, and plan for the best treatment plan for each patient.
Aero-digestive disorders can also make eating and drinking challenging. Before, during and after operation, patients may have an evaluation on their ability to feed, and may meet with a feeding specialist for feeding therapy.
A key part of care is communication. Alana Beaudreault is the program coordinator, and serves as a central core of communication with families to address any concerns parents may have. Additionally, Amanda Didas is a physician assistant who is there to address health issue related questions. Every step of the way, there is somebody there to help you and your child.
