Clinicians: Participate in our 6/30/09 conference via the Web
Image LIVE, WEB-HOSTED FETAL CARE CONFERENCE

On Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at noon EST, the AFCC will open its weekly conference to clinicians across the country via the Web. (All that's required is a high-speed internet connection and a Web browser.) During this hour-long conference, specialists of the AFCC will present the case histories, imaging studies and other diagnostic tools utilized in three recent cases.

The week's topic:
Complex Formational Anomalies of the
Lower Genitourinary Tract

  • Referral diagnosis #1: ambiguous genitalia; presented by Alan B. Retik, MD, FAAP, FACS, Executive Director of the Advanced Fetal Care Center

  • Referral diagnosis #2: bladder exstrophy; presented by Dr. Retik and Joseph G. Borer, MD, Director of the Center for Bladder Exstrophy

  • Referral diagnosis #3: cloacal malformation; presented by Dr. Borer and Terry L. Buchmiller, MD, Pediatric Surgeon

A Q&A involving clinicians from the Longwood Medical Area, attending the conference in person, will follow the presentation of each case. As a Web participant, you will be able to submit questions and comments live via an online Chat module.

To register, email your name, your specialty and the name of your institution to AFCC@childrens.harvard.edu. Please enter "AFCC 6/30/09" in the subject line of your email. Within 24 hours, you will receive a reply containing the Web address to access on 6/30/09 along with participation instructions. We hope you will join us.
