Center for Continence of Urine and Bowel (CUB)
Who we are
Boston Children's Hospital's Center for Continence of Urine and Bowel treats children with urine and bowel incontinence resulting from congenital anomalies, such as anorectal, spinal, neuromuscular or urological malformations. The team is made up of specialists from Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery and Urology, and patients meet with specialists from all of these fields. Doctors from our other departments, such as Behavioral Medicine, Radiology and Orthopedics, are often consulted.
The Continence of Urine and Bowel Program (CUB) truly helps keep children with complexities from falling through the cracks. With so many clinicians reviewing each child's records and talking to the family, we really ensure the highest level of care.
