Image The Group Therapy Team in the Outpatient Psychiatry Service at Children's Hospital Boston is dedicated to offering a wide variety of psychotherapy groups for children, adolescents and parents.

We believe that group therapy is a powerful type of treatment, effective alone or used together with individual or family therapy.

The shared goals of all groups are to create opportunities for members to:

  • explore and share their experiences
  • benefit from each other's support and guidance
  • develop and practice new skills and strategies for coping with challenges
  • increase self-esteem
Creating a therapeutic match between a client and a group is essential for success in therapy. Together, we can determine whether the structure of the group would be appropriate for the specific needs of you or your child.
