Neurourology Program
The Neurourology Program at Boston Children's Hospital is constantly researching new and more effective ways to treat your child's condition. Our current treatment innovations include:
- Endoscopic treatment of vesicoureteral reflux
- Laporoscopic and robotically assisted surgical reconstruction of the lower urinary tract
- Tissue engineered bladder reconstruction for neurogenic bladder
- Early intervention (or bladder dysfunction) using catheterization and medications
- Urodynamics assessment of the bladder function to guide therapy
- Minimally invasive treatment for stones in the urinary tract, including ESWL (extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy, nephroscopy), laser fragmentation of stones
