Children's Hospital Boston is known around the world for its faculty's pediatric hematology/oncology expertise. The program, which includes a special focus on research clinical and laboratory initiatives, is aimed toward improving the understanding and treatment of all forms of childhood cancer and non-malignant blood disorders. The faculty of the Division includes more than 50 researchers and physicians.

The Division of Hematology/Oncology encompasses one of the oldest and most active largest pediatric stem cell transplantation units in the country. Offered through Dana-Farber/Children's Hospital Cancer Care, program staff from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Children's work together to perform approximately 70 transplants each year for children with both blood disorders and cancer. Children's Hospital Boston is the pediatric site of the Boston Hemophilia Center, the largest hemophilia program in New England.

The Division's comprehensive fellowship program, carries an unparalleled educational reputation for training more pediatric hematology/oncology chiefs than any other of its kind.

Faculty members are always available to offer second opinions and consultations to members of the medical community. They are also available to deliver educational presentations on their areas of expertise.
