Respite
The Resource Room provides respite programs to ease the challenges of frequent or lengthy hospitalizations. Some of these programs include:

Pediatric Oncology Entertainment Program: Provides passes to area museums for patients and families and charters three Duck Tours during the summer, giving families the opportunity to explore more of Boston.

Parent Chair Massage: A massage therapist provides 10-minute chair massages for parents twice a month.

Holiday and Special Event Celebrations: From a Mother's Day picnic to watching the Superbowl on the big screen, every effort is made to celebrate big events.

Hospital Campers: Held on the first Sunday of the month, a former family brings crafts, coffee, donuts and compassion, supporting families as they spend time in the hospital.

Meals of Hope: Twice a month, dinner is donated from an area restaurant for the patients and families, as a welcome break from their dining routine in the Longwood Medical Area.

Friday Night Pizza Parties Friday Night Pizza Party: Every Friday night, stacks of pizzas, salad and cookies are delivered to feed the hungry patients, families and staff on the Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant units. The pizza parties, sponsored by the Connor Flanagan Foundation, were created when Connor decided one thing he truly missed when he was in the hospital was pizza parties with family and friends. Thanks to Team Connor, families know to expect yummy food and lots of fun every Friday.
