Clinical Services (Cancer):
For Patients & Families
Image We understand that a cancer diagnosis is an event that affects the entire family. To make this time as easy as possible, the experts at Dana-Farber/Children's Hospital Cancer Care work together to meet all of your child and family's medical, physical and emotional needs before, during and after treatment.

Our core care team involves many pediatric specialists, such as registered nurses, oncologists, hematologists and radiologists. They will work closely with other specialists at Children's Hospital Boston, including surgeons, endocrinologists, cardiologists, dentists, and gastroenterologists, to ensure every aspect of your child's health is continually monitored. Social workers, psychologists, physical therapists and dieticians are also available to work with your child and family, as needed.

We also acknowledge your family as a very important member of your child's care team. The emotional support and comfort you can provide will play a vital role in your child's treatment plan. Our newly renovated inpatient and outpatient treatment areas were designed with your family in mind, and we welcome and encourage families and friends to accompany children to appointments or to visit during overnight stays.

We also provide multiple support programs at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Children's to help your family through this stressful time.
