Clinical Services (Cancer):
Survivorship & Long-Term Care Expertise
Childhood cancer was once universally fatal, but today, the majority of children diagnosed with the disease can expect to be long-term survivors. However, survivorship often comes with numerous complex issues: the long-term effects of treatment, the risk of second cancers, as well as social and psychological concerns.

The David B. Perini, Jr. Quality of Life Clinic, located at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helps cancer survivors of all ages manage these late-effects. At the Clinic, your child and your family can access multiple long-term care and survivorship programs, including genetic counseling, psychological services and fertility analysis, to manage these long-term consequences.

Staff members also research the long-term effects of cancer and cancer treatment and explore ways to alleviate these late effects in future patients.
