It is important to remember that histiocytosis affects each child differently and that patients may not exhibit all symptoms of the illness at the same time. Also, there are some symptomatic differences between LCH and HLH: children with HLH are more likely to experience a rapid onset of severe symptoms including fever, weight loss, rash, fatigue and paleness.
