Emergency Care |
|
|
Acute illnesses or crises are seen in the Children's Hospital Boston Emergency Department and when possible, are managed as outpatients in consultation with Pediatric Hematology staff. If the need for hospital admission arises, patients are cared for by physicians and nurses specializing in pediatric hematology. Experienced clinicians from all of the medical and surgical subspecialties at Children's will aid in the multidisciplinary care of children with sickle cell anemia as treatment required.
