Vascular Anomalies Center (VAC)
Based on a Vascular Anomalies Center study, nearly 50 percent of referred patients are misdiagnosed; about 35 percent have received inappropriate treatment. Nevertheless, 15 percent of patients are difficult to diagnose and for five percent no prescription is available.

To ensure the best possible outcome, patients with vascular anomalies require the combined expertise of an experienced, interdisciplinary team of specialists whose primary focus is the management of these complex disorders.

Interdisciplinary Team
The Vascular Anomalies Center (VAC) at Children's Hospital Boston is a team of 25 clinicians, representing 16 medical and surgical specialties, who have developed sub-sub specialization in the field of vascular anomalies.

Many of these physicians are internationally renowned for their expertise and innovations within this highly specialized field. All physicians hold faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School.

VAC physicians have extensive experience treating children and adults with vascular anomalies from the U.S. and abroad. As such, the VAC is often regarded as the premier center for the treatment of individuals with vascular anomalies.
