Community Asthma Initiative
Kids from Asthma Games 2006 The Community Asthma Initiative at Children's Hospital Boston works with children and their families to help manage their asthma.

Asthma is the leading cause of hospitalization at Children's.

We help children, who live in communities close to Children's have active and healthy lives. We provide them with health education, home assessments, case management, primary care and community outreach services focused on living with and managing asthma.

Who is eligible for the program?

Children and youth who:

- have been hospitalized at Children's or who have been treated in our emergency department for an asthma-related illness AND

- live in Jamaica Plain, Roxbury or Mission Hill AND

- are between the ages of two and 18 years old
