300 Longwood Avenue Boston, MA 02115 (617) 355-6000 Clinical Services (Psychiatry): Programs and Services The Department of Psychiatry is divided into four clinical programs: outpatient, inpatient, consultation and community. We also have our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Training Program. Outpatient The Emergency Psychiatry Program provides emergency evaluations and crisis intervention in the emergency room at Children's. The Neuropsychology Program offers state-of-the-art psychological assessment of children and adolescents with physical or neurological illness. The Psychopharmacology Program helps assess and manage children and adolescents taking psychopharmacological medication. The Psychosocial Treatment Program uses psychoeducational, cognitive, behavioral and dynamic treatment approaches in individual, family and group therapy settings. Programs include the Group Therapy Team, Latino Team, Medical Coping Team and Mood Disorders Team. Inpatient Richmond Psychiatry Inpatient Service The Richmond Psychiatry Inpatient Service is a 16-bed, general inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit. It provides family-oriented psychiatric assessment and treatment for patients who have not responded well to conventional outpatient or other hospital care. Consultation Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation Service The Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation Service provides specialized psychological services for children and families facing challenges related to medical illness and hospitalization. It provides parent consultation and short term therapy for children in the hospital and/or family members. Office of Clinician Support The Office of Clinician Support is a safe place for Children's clinicians to talk and strategize about work and/or home stresses. Community Children's Hospital Neighborhood Partnerships Children's Hospital Neighborhood Partnerships (CHNP) provides high quality, accessible and effective mental health prevention and intervention services to children and youth at risk in Boston-area neighborhoods and schools. Training Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Residency Training Program CAP has been offering training at Children's in child and adolescent psychiatry since 1953. We build upon the classic foundations of child psychiatry and incorporate the latest bahavioral science advances in an integrated approach to the field.
