Flower About Observing
Image
Interested applicants may apply to observe for any length of time; however observership is limited to three physicians at a time. If you plan on visiting for a multiple month span, it may be to your best interest to apply early to ensure all months have openings. If we cannot accommodate your desired time, you will be contacted by a representative from the Department of Plastic Surgery with potential alternate times.

Observers are defined as individuals who desire to tour and observe the facilities of the Department of Plastic Surgery affiliated with Children's Hospital Boston. Observers are strictly limited to the practice of observation and do not partake in direct clinical activities.

In addition to shadowing day to day practices, observers may also be invited to watch surgical procedures. Observers may also have the opportunity to attend different conferences; as well as utilize all of the resources found in Harvard Medical School and Children's Hospital Libraries.
