In July 2006, Children's Hospital Boston at Waltham celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated and expanded facilities at 9 Hope Avenue. The Department of Radiology now occupies spacious new quarters on the first floor, with expanded X-ray and fluoroscopy facilities and suites for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and computed tomography (CT).

Radiologists from Children's Hospital Boston staff the Waltham clinic; they expect to perform imaging studies on as many as 10,000 children during the first year.
