To provide state-of-the art neonatal care across the spectrum from prenatal consultation through intensive care, convalescent care, and long term follow-up, Children's Program in Newborn Medicine offers families and physicians the following services, provided by experienced, board-certified neonatologists:
Infant Follow-Up Program
Newborn Medicine, Community
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Cares for critically ill newborns with a wide range of congenital or acquired medical and surgical diseases. A multidisciplinary team provides family centered, technologically advanced therapies for newborns from local, regional, and international points of origin. Initial consultation with members of the Division of Newborn Medicine leads to arrangements for transport, made in collaboration with the Children's Transport Team.

Prenatal Consultation Program
Provides prenatal consultation by phone and/or office visit. In collaboration with referring obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, maternity center neonatologists, and subspecialists in the Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Center at Children's, faculty in the Division of Newborn Medicine counsel families who expect newborns with congenital conditions that require postnatal care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
