Eligibility - Applicants must be enrolled in a medical/dental school, or a college or university. - Priority is given to medical/dental school students; however, a small number of undergraduate students may be accepted each year. - Students who have already participated in the Program are not eligible. - U.S. citizens may be eligible for NIH funding.
How to Apply - Complete an Application Form. - Return the completed Application Form and a copy of your Curriculum Vitae (CV) to the Program Coordinator. (Please be sure to save the Form to your computer before starting. When completed, attach the file to an email and send it to the address indicted on the Form.)
Applications for the Summer 2008 Program will be accepted between December 1, 2007, and January 31, 2008.
Funding - The Program provides stipends for students, who are expected to work a minimum of eight weeks, 30-40 hours per week. - Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation and housing. - Students are encouraged to apply independently for funding from other sources.
International Applicants - International applicants may be eligible to receive a stipend only if they hold the appropriate visa status.
Selection Process
Students are selected by the Directors based on an assessment of each student's application, research interests, and mentor availability.
Every effort is made to place students with the mentor of their choice.
