A Note from the Directors...

To All Students Interested in the Research and Clinical Aspects of Newborn Medicine:

You are invited to apply to the Summer Student Research Program sponsored by the Harvard Program in Neonatology, an academic Program which includes among its member hospitals: Boston Children's Hospital (BCH), Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). The objective of the Program is to provide motivated students with an intensive laboratory and clinical research experience under the guidance of Faculty and Fellow mentors from the Academic Program. The Program experience includes:

  • An 8-12 week program of:
    • Observation of newborn care in hospital nurseries, clinics, and NICUs
    • Bench, clinical/translational, or epidemiological research
    • Weekly tutorials
  • Supervision and guidance provided by faculty and fellow mentors
  • Generous stipends
