Stephen Shusterman, DMD, Richard Bruun, DDS, and Bonnie Padwa, DMD, MD, senior associates of the Department of Dentistry, recently visited China where they lectured at pediatric hospitals in the cities of Nanjing, Guangzhou, and Wuhan.
The group participated in the National Child Cleft Lip & Palate Therapy Seminar, which was conducted in conjunction with the opening of the Hubei Province Maternal & Child Dental Health Care Center in Wuhan.
During their visit, the team shared their protocol for the management of cleft patients from infants to young adults and also lectured on preventive dentistry.
Drs. Shusterman, Bruun, and Padwa are all members of the Cleft Lip and Palate Team at Children's Hospital Boston.
