Image Anesthesia plays a critical role in the treatment and recovery of patients at Children's Hospital Boston. Our anesthesiologists are specialized in all areas of patient care before, during and after surgery or procedures.

While our primary focus is on the safety of our patients, we also provide patient care services outside of the operating room. We offer guidance for safe sedation during a variety of radiographic and medical procedures and pain treatment services.

Children's/CHOP collaborate
Anesthesiologists from the two hospitals worked together to put on Perioperative Care of the Infant and Child, an event that drew 128 anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners and physicians-in-training.

The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Management is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Choon L. Bong to its team of experts as of January 2008. Dr. Bong joins Children's Hospital as an attending physician in the Main Operating Rooms. Dr. Bong's specialties include Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.

The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Amy M. Henry to its team of experts as of January 2008. Dr. Henry received her MD degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 2002. Dr. Henry joins Children's Hospital Boston as an attending physician in the Main Operating Rooms.
