Clinical Research
The Division of Allergy/Immunology's clinical research is conducted in outpatient clinics, in the inpatient Clinical Research Center (CRC) and in the Center for Ambulatory Treatment and Clinical Research (CAT/CR).
Dr. Lynda Schneider is the Director of the Division of Immunology Clinical Research Program. Dr. Robert Sundel, the Director of the Rheumatology Program, is the Director of the CAT/CR.
On-going clinical projects include:
- The evaluation of immunomodulators in atopic dermatitis.
- A study of the efficacy of purified C1 esterase inhibitor in hereditary angioedema.
- The evaluation of intravenous gammaglobulin treatment of patients with antibody deficiency disorders.
- A study of risk factors for food allergy.
- Child and parent groups for coping with food allergy.
