The Boston LEAH Program (Leadership Education in Adolescent Health) directs three to five continuing education courses on adolescent health each year. From 1992 to the present, the LEAH faculty has directed or co-directed more than 40 CME/CEU courses including:
  • Adolescent Medicine
  • Pediatric/Adolescent Gynecology
  • Adolescent Health Nursing
  • Psychology
  • HIV Care
  • Pediatric Nutrition

The faculty and fellows give numerous presentations to professional audiences, families and youth, schools and public health conferences. During the past six years, the Boston LEAH Program provided 1,500 presentations and 800 significant consultations for technical assistance.

Additionally, during the past four years, MCH LEAH and Behavioral Pediatrics Faculty and Fellows authored 29 learner-centered cases on growth, development, behavior and adolescent health to facilitate pediatric residents learning the Bright Futures guidelines for health supervision.

These cases, developed through our Bright Futures Center for Curricula, and an additional interactive computer-based case, are available at the:

  1. Bright Futures Center for Pediatric Education in Growth and Development Behavior and Adolescent Health website.
  2. HRSA Information Center (1-888-ASK-HRSA) as a three-volume set.
