Kidney Stone Center
Image Children's Hospital Boston's new Kidney Stone Center welcomes children who currently have kidney stones, those who've previously had them and those who are at risk for developing them.

The clinic is held on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month on Fegan 5 at Children's Hospital Boston. Patients are seen by pediatric urologists Caleb Nelson, MD, or Bartley Cilento, MD, and nephrologist Michelle Baum, MD.

Studies show that kidney stones are more common in hot climates and during summer months -- possibly because the warm weather can cause dehydration, a common cause of kidney stones. Make sure you drink lots of fluids and avoid salty foods.
