Your child may or may not be covered for services provided by the Neuropsychology Program at Children's Hospital Boston.
Insurance companies usually do not approve neuropsychological assessments when:
- your child has already received an initial school evaluation process to identify, screen, test and evaluate his or her special or academic needs
- similar tests have been given in the past 12 months. (The exception is when the patient's progress needs to be closely monitored over time to document effects of treatment or to monitor the course of a disease.)
