Children's uses a state-of-the-art "da Vinci" robot for enhanced visibility, dexterity, and precision. The robot has four components:
Surgeon Console The surgeon sits at a console viewing a 3-D image while the system seamlessly translates movement of the surgeon's hand and wrist inside the patient.
Patient-side Cart The cart includes several robotic arms that precisely execute the surgeon's movements. Supporting members of the surgical team supervise the arms as they work on the patient.
InSite Vision System A 3-D endoscope and state-of-the-art image processing equipment that provides crisp, clear, true-to-life images.
