Child Protection Program
Foster Care Clinic
The Foster Care Clinic (FCC) at Boston Children's Hospital is a service of the Child Protection Program. Our team is here to address the immediate medical, dental and developmental needs of children who have newly entered the Department of Children and Families (DCF) custody and to assist their caregivers in learning about and responding to the unique child that has entered their care.
These services are being provided using a two-appointment model, with appointments being scheduled 7 and 30 days after the child has entered DCF custody.
The Foster Care Clinic Provides:
- 1. Medical examinations by child abuse experts
- 2. Immunizations when clinically indicated
- 3. Developmental and behavioral screenings and referrals
