Bone Health Program
Image The Bone Health Program at Children's Hospital Boston provides comprehensive evaluations of children and adolescents who have, or are at risk for, low bone density. We have been treating patients since 2000.
There are a variety of medical conditions associated with low bone density, including anorexia nervosa, cystic fibrosis and inflammatory bowel disease. Please see related topics for additional associated conditions.

Bone density is evaluated through our DXA Center (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) and is the gold standard test in the industry.

Children and adolescents with low bone density have a wide variety of needs and we strive to provide patient-focused, empathetic and compassionate care.
