Traveling across country to Boston Children's
Last May, our daughter Cameron underwent bladder neck reconstruction at Boston Children's Hospital. She was born with bladder exstrophy and had been incontinent for the first four years of her life. With kindergarten approaching, we wanted to explore our options to see what could be done to help her.
After researching hospitals that cared for children with exstrophy, we decided to travel from our hometown of Huntsville, Alabama, to Boston, Massachusetts. We wanted the best care we could find and we found it at Boston Children's Hospital!
Goals met with a winning team
We spent 21 days in Boston Children's, following Cameron's surgery. We were so pleased with the care we received from the extraordinary team of urologists and nurses. They were so knowledgeable and eager to work with us to make sure our goals were achieved.
Cameron has had a very successful outcome and we believe much of that is due to the dedication of this talented group of people. We could not have asked for better care than the care we received. We are so thankful that we chose Boston Children's Hospital.
