Flower Impact of Prevention Activities
Prevention Activities include presentations, classroom modules, and small groups that focus on the promotion of positive mental health and the prevention of specific mental health related problems.

In 2007-2008, 3077 youth participated in prevention activities on topics including:

-- Bullying Prevention and Healthy Relationships
-- Puberty and Sexuality
-- Social Skills and Emotion Regulation
-- Depression Prevention and Awareness
-- Violence Prevention and Peace Promotion
-- General Support and Wellness

644 parents participated in prevention activities on topics including:

-- Depression Prevention and Awareness
-- Communicating with Children
-- General Support and Parenting Skills

Feedback from Youth Participants in Prevention Activities

-- 93% felt the topic was important to them
-- 98% felt they understood the topic better
-- 98% would recommend the activity to other kids their age
