Clinical Services:
Brain Tumor Program
Children with brain and spinal cord tumors who come to Children's Hospital Boston are treated through Dana-Farber/Children's Hospital Cancer Care's Pediatric Brain Tumor Program.

This program brings together specialists from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Children's Hospital Boston, including pediatric neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, neurologists and radiation oncologists, to determine and deliver the most effective treatments to ensure the highest possible functioning and quality of life for each child.

We offer access to advanced technologies, like an intraoperative MRI that allows us to simultaneously perform surgery and obtain radiographic images to ensure total resection of brain tumors, and stereotactic radiosurgery for children. We also offer unique treatment options for children with brain tumors through our extensive clinical trial program. In addition, the Stop & Shop Family Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Outcomes Clinic helps childhood brain tumor survivors address any long-term physical, psychological, social and intellectual challenges they encounter as a direct result of their treatment.
