Patients with mitochondrial disease are followed on a regular basis.
The frequency of their visits to our clinic depends upon their condition and varies from once every one two months to once a year.
Their appointments in other departments at Children's Hospital Boston are coordinated by our Mitochondrial Program Coordinator (617-355-2067).
In most cases, visits to Cardiology and Ophthalmology Clinics, hearing tests and metabolic screenings are required once a year.
