Meet our team

Our team in the Epilepsy Program at Boston Children’s Hospital integrates specialists from many different fields. That means that as we care for your child, we’ll thoughtfully discuss every treatment possibility for him.

We are careful to coordinate our treatment plans with each other, and to work closely with your family all along the way.

Epilepsy care at Boston Children’s is led by Blaise Bourgeois, MD, director of the Division of Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology, and Joseph Madsen, MD, director of epilepsy surgery.

Neurosurgeons

Neurosurgeons are doctors who perform surgery on the brain and other parts of the central nervous system.  Our neurosurgeon is Joseph Madsen, MD.
