For a child with a vision problem, no matter how simple or complex, Children's Hospital Boston offers the latest and best in diagnostics and care. The Department of Ophthalmology at Children's is the largest group of full-time practicing pediatric ophthalmologists in the United States.

Children and families come from around the world to our Eye Center for the most advanced vision testing, diagnostics and treatment available for of all types of visual impairments.

Our world-class pediatric ophthalmologists lead in research that is advancing the way eye conditions are diagnosed and treated, and have pioneered specialized diagnostic and surgical techniques for babies and children.

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Children's Hospital Ophthalmology Foundation at Massachussets Eye and Ear
We are pleased to announce that on August 1, 2009 the Children's Hospital Ophthalmology Foundation (CHOF)- the professional corporation of Children's Hospital Boston's Department of Ophthalmology -and the Massachussets Eye and Ear Infirmary ( Mass Eye and Ear) established a formal relationship in patient care, creating one of the most comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology networks in the country. This collaboration offers a new breath and depth of service to patients, along with more integrated experience for faculty, fellows and students within the pediatric and the strabismus subspecialities. Drs. Melanie Kazlas and Kimberly Chan of Mass. Eye and Ear have joined the full-time staff and faculty of CHOF. Drs. Kathryn Colby and Douglas Rhee who have a special interest in pediatric aspects of their specialities, now care for complex pediatric cases as CHOF-affiliated Mass. Eye and Ear faculty at various Children's locations. New CHOF locations include CHOF at Mass. Eye and Ear in Boston and CHOF at Mass. Eye and Ear in Stoneham. Waltham Satellite Waltham Satellite now opens three Saturdays a Month.
The Ophthalmology Department is now open three Saturdays a month. Drs. Aparna Raghuram and Anna Maria Baglieri , our optometrists, have openings from 8am to 1pm. Dr. Jason Mantagos , an ophthalmologist, has two Saturday clinics a month, running from 8am to 1pm. The Optical Shop is open every Saturday morning.
