Our Services
The Division provides internationally renowned clinical programs in sports and dance medicine, with an additional sub-specialty in sports podiatry. Children's Division of Sports Medicine provides the following services:
Evaluation
Image Initial evaluation and follow-up care is provided by a highly qualified staff of six orthopedic surgeons, nine primary care physicians, two podiatrists, a nutritionist, a sports psychologist, three physician assistants and three athletic trainers. All are well trained in the special care of sports-related injuries.

Consultation and Emergency Care

24-hour a day care and consultation are available for all sports injuries. A sports medicine physician is on-call to treat injuries on an emergency basis.

Rehabilitation
Comprehensive physical therapy and rehabilitation programs are initiated in the treatment of injuries of an orthopedic nature.

Counseling
Image Counseling is available to help injured athletes deal with the psychological stresses of a sports-related injury.

Sporting Event Coverage

Physicians are available to provide medical coverage for a variety of dance and sporting events, particularly football and hockey games, as well as performing arts events on a scheduled basis. Coverage for mass participation sporting events is also provided.

Pre-participation Evaluation
Pre-season physicals for athletes are provided by appointment only.
