Flower Preparing for Your Visit
Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at their appointment.
How do I make an appointment?
Appointments can be made with any of the Division of Sports Medicine faculty during our business hours: Monday through Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm.

Non-emergency patients are seen by appointment only. Our appointment hotline is 617-355-3501.

To make an appointment to see either Dr. Gerbino or Dr. d'Hemecourt at our Lexington facility, call 781-672-2000.

How long will my appointment take?
Though we like to make your appointment smooth and expedient - this is not always possible. The nature of your condition or injury will determine how long your appointment will take.

Patients frequently require X-rays which can add about ten minutes to your visit. X-rays are done at the 319 Longwood Avenue clinic on the 6th floor.

Sometimes emergencies occur that require immediate attention from our staff, which in some cases may cause your appointment to be delayed. We ask that you please be patient as we will get to you as soon as possible.

All the doctors and staff at the Division of Sports Medicine work extremely hard to see each patient at their scheduled time and make their visit as enjoyable as possible.

What forms do I need to complete?
New patients must complete a Patient Information Form. Please complete this form and bring it with you when you come to your appointment.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Please bring previous x-rays, MRIs, CT scans, or any other study related to the injury or condition for which you are being seen. It is best to bring these studies yourself rather than rely on someone else sending them to us.

If you wear a brace or other supportive device please bring it with you so that it can be evaluated at your visit.

Also bring your insurance cards.

What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear shorts if you are having your knee or hip examined. Females may wish to wear a sports bra/tank top or swimsuit under their clothing if they are having their back or shoulder examined.
