Complex Care Service
The CCS program provides medical care to children with genetic disorders, birth
defects and chronic complex health care needs. Children with cerebral palsy can be
followed from infancy to young adulthood. For more information please contact the

Clinical Genetics Program
The Clinical Genetics Program provides diagnostic evaluation for patients and families
who have birth defects or developmental problems. Genetic counseling is also available

The Coping Clinic
The Coping Clinic helps children with special health care needs and their families find
ways to handle the extra stress associated with daily life. The staff provides evaluations,
short-term therapy and family counseling. For more information please call (617)355-

The Center for Families
The Center for Families helps parents become active members of their child's health care
team. The Center provides information for families on questions they may have about
diagnoses, community resources or hospital resources. For more information please

The Family to Family Program
The Family to Family Program is located within the Center for Families. It offers families support by connecting them with trained, experienced volunteer family members whose children have similar needs. For more information please phone (617)355-6279.

The Family Advisory Committee
The Family Advisory Committee is comprised of parents and children who are treated regularly at the hospital, staff members and current and former patients. The purpose is to provide the patient and family perspective needed for successful collaboration between families and health care providers. Projects include: a creation of a lecture series, creating a Family Faculty speakers bureau and publication of resource guides on specific conditions.
