Disaster drill tests readiness

On Nov. 15, Children’s joined other area hospitals in a coordinated disaster drill that simulated mass casualties from a radiological “dirty bomb” explosion at Logan Airport.

Members of the ED staff wear personal protective equipment to test and decontaminate patients exposed to radiation.
