How to speak up for children’s health

Here are some hints to help you communicate with your elected officials about injury prevention and other children’s health issues. With the right information, it can be quick and easy to advocate. Your efforts will make a huge difference for children!

You can find out the names and contact information of your elected officials and get periodic updates about state and federal bills related to children’s health—all as a member of the Children’s Advocacy Network (CAN). Children’s provides this free service to concerned people like you with the tools needed to effectively speak up for kids and families. The CAN, which now has over 1,200 members, has successfully advocated for dozens of key child health bills.

Sign up online here, or for more information contact Kate Weldon-LeBlanc in the Office of Child Advocacy at ext. 52295.
