Children's EIP relocates to JP

[ printer-friendly version ]

hildren's Community Early Intervention Program (EIP) recently moved from its Tremont Street location to the Martha Eliot Health Center in Jamaica Plain.

The new location offers improved access and ample parking for patients. ¿We are looking forward to being part of a larger system," says program director Melanie Griffin. ¿We are also eager to have Martha Eliot's Healthy Families Program, which serves a similar population to ours, in such close proximity to us."

The EIP serves young children with developmental delays, and is part of a statewide system of over 60 EIP sites supervised by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. All children from birth to 3 years of age who are not reaching age-appropriate milestones, are at risk for developmental delay, or have been diagnosed with a physical, emotional or cognitive condition that may result in developmental delay, are eligible for the program. For more information on eligibility and EI programs around Massachusetts, visit www.massfamilyties.org or call (800) 905-8437.—RP
