Benefiting our staff
This year's Benefits Fair was a huge success with approximately 4,000 employees in attendance’Ķa record number for Children's Hospital Boston! Employees who attended the fair were able to meet with vendors and insurance carriers, ask questions about their benefits, gather important benefits information, enjoy refreshments, and left with useful information and fun giveaways. Many employees, including Daad Azar (pictured) from Interpreter Services, entered raffles to win cameras, MP3 players, cash prizes, a doll house, gift baskets and many other great prizes. Employees should receive their new health care cards before January 1, 2006. Please do not hesitate to contact the Benefits Office (ext. 5-7790), if you have questions.

Arthur Day
Children's characters Arthur and Buster visited the Patient Entertainment Center of Friday, Nov. 18 to promote "Arthur's Guide to Children's Hospital Boston," a new interactive feature of the hospital's recently redesigned Web site. Arthur Day featured a special reading from WGBH's Bill Shribman, photos with the characters, free giveaways, a raffle and computer stations to check out the interactive feature first-hand.

Celtics hoop it up on Halloween
On Monday, Oct. 31, the Boston Celtics dropped by to wish patients at Children's Hospital Boston a Happy Halloween. All 16 members of the Celtics, including Team Captain Paul Pierce, Ricky Davis and Raef Lafrentz, stopped in to sign autographs and hand out free Celtics accessories. While visiting patients with the rest of his team on Halloween, Celtic guard Delonte West got some impromptu medical attention from Lauren Mosca, RN, for a scratch sustained during practice.
